Who’s cooler: Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie?
In our unending quest to stay relevant and cool, we need help staying up on what’s cool – like who we should be watching, where we should be eating, and what we should be wearing. Hence, the urgent need for the Cool Duel.
This feature is not to be confused with the previous blog game in which readers submitted their weekend activities, and everyone voted to see who had the coolest weekend. That blog game went by the name of the Cool Duel. Oh, I guess that is confusing. Anyway, they are not to be confused.
So in the new Cool Duel, we’ll pose two of whatever, and you tell us which one is cooler and why. Let’s start with two Hollywood stars who share a curious connection: Brad Pitt.

JA has kept up the girl-next-door persona, while AJ is more like the girl-in-next-cell-in-the-insane-asylum. JA wins out in my book.

Either way, great pix of both! They both liik like they were photographed by a relative at a family function, not a pro at a studio!
I’m gonna go with JA. I think AJ (especially Mr. & Mrs. Smith AJ) could rip my head of at any moment, and that’s just not cool.
On the contrary! I think the head-ripping-off-ness of AJ makes her cooler!
“Cool” seems to be an undefinable thing.
No really strong feelings about this one, actually. I’d probably vote for JA, though, because AJ is a husband stealer.

I agree that Jennifer has maintained the girl-next-door image while Angelina has built the image (at least in my mind) of the strange woman from Proverbs 7. I can’t help but think that if you see a common thread in an actor’s characters, it might be part of the actor’s character. In other words, if all of JA’s roles have the same likable qualities, I tend to think that JA has that likableness and it’s not just a part of the characters she plays. Maybe she’s fooling me.
AJ on the other hand… I have to agree with Annie. First, she’s a husband stealer – although I know Brad is responsible for it too. I also, good or bad, combine what I know of her personal life (admittedly little) with her film work. I just don’t like her at all!
Rant over. My conclusion: Jennifer cool, Angelina not.
