Cool Dad and I are all about recognizing cool when we see it. Especially when it comes in the parental form. So we’d like to start introducing you to a few couples who made the cut and were willing to sacrifice some cool points to be part of this site for a day. They are the Truly Cool Parents. Check them out!
We knew this couple before they had their two beautiful kids, and man, they are even cooler now than ever. The first TCPs are Ben and Polina.
Ben is a chalk artist who travels around doing what he loves to do–inspiring crowds with his words and his huge works of art that are produced before their eyes. Besides that, he’s hilarious. We’ve seen first-hand what an effect he has on the kids and adults he speaks to. His wife claims that he has an inner dork, but we won’t go there. He did just win a championship belt for boxing after all.
Supporting him ringside (and snapping pictures of it all?) is his wife Polina. She jumped into photography as a career a few years ago and you must see her work to understand how cool she is. Cool Dad often refers to her as an example of someone who has successfully followed her dreams while raising kids at the same time. Having grown up in Russia and Australia, her innate sense of style makes her really cool in my book. Proof? Just look at her rocking the fishnets in the family Christmas photo!
We’re honored that Ben and Polina are friends of the Cool Fam. They remind us that it really is possible to be parents and still be cool!

I’m almost positive Ben Glenn came to my high school sometime between 2000 and 2002. If it wasn’t him, it was someone just like him, but I’m pretty sure he’s the one. Righteous dude!

we’re really flattered and blown away that you guys, who are waaaay cooler than us (hello! we live in Indiana and where do you live? oh that’s right, New York City!) featured us as cool parents. i’m going to print this blog entry and save it for when our kids get into junior high – maybe this will convince them?? thanks for the love! we’re feelin’ it!

I would say they are pretty really cool parents! I have seem them in action…and the action never ends.
It seems like there’s never a dull moment in that household.
I can vouch for these two. They really are the coolest parents… However, they have not successfully convinced me to reproduce.

I am actually hoping Polina will adopt me because I too, am positive she’s gotta be one of the coolest parents out there!
I’ve already been adopted once so what’s one more?
