Your public school decision is a great model for us to follow. Obviously, that choice has lifelong consequences. It's so encouraging to see you following God with it!

Great post, cool mum! We ask ourselves these questions all the time. A good friend of ours uses the phrase "entering the mess." He talks about us being ineffective as kingdom people until we're willing to enter the mess...which is not where we tend to be the most comfortable. For us, this was behind the decision to enter public school - and to be honest, we've "entered" it the way you enter a pool when the water is too cold... one toe at a time. You followed us as we made that decision and you know that there was a lot of back and forth about it...but that ultimately it just felt like, knowing and believing what we do about the way Jesus wants us to live, that we had no other choice. I think you'll find the same thing with your housing!

I tend to believe that unless God gives you specific directions otherwise, then use the common sense he gave you. There have been times that I made decisions that seemed "stupid" only because I felt strongly that God was leading. I have 2 kids 5 and 6 . It is my job train and protect them until I give them back to him. Follow what you believe to be God's will and if he leaves you without direction then follow your own. You have the mind of Christ and all things work together for good!
