I am thankful for the joy of the Lord. In my life, that means that after a day of staying inside because of rain, I am in a giddy sort of mood.
– My first stab at tomato-chickpea curry is simmering on the stove.
– I’m swaying to Christina Aguilera crooning ‘Genie in a Bottle’ on the TV.
– I earlier videotaped Cool Baby and I jumping around to dance music. If you’re good, maybe a clip will pop up in the near future.
I don’t know if I’m supposed to feel solemn because many are pondering Jesus’ crucifixion and this day that He spent in the grave. I take the crucifixion dead seriously. However, like Jesus said, “It is finished.“
Jesus conquered death, and although tomorrow is the ‘observed’ day of joy and celebration, I’m living it today. Jesus died 2000 years ago. Two days later, He arose and He’s been alive ever since. That’s worth celebrating – every day.
We’ll just have some extra fun tomorrow.
