We’ve missed church the last few weekends, and I don’t like it.
One weekend, we went back to Florida. Another one, the boy had ‘diarrhear of the rear’ as I like to call it for some reason. Last weekend, the Cool Grand ‘Rents were in town, and we missed church by about 30 minutes. Sunday had the only good weather during their time here, so we wanted to keep showing them around.
In the past, I’ve felt bad about missing church, but I wonder if the bad feelings were more guilt than feeling like I was missing out on something. With this church and its body, I feel like I’m missing out on something. That’s really cool.
When we came up here, I thought that we would be stepping into a (spiritually) dark atmosphere. But God showed me that He has agents everywhere, especially in the big, scary city. We haven’t connected nearly as much as we would like to, but every week presents a new opportunity.
How much do you like your church?

I like our church quite a bit, but I will admit that I don’t feel as connected as I did a couple years ago. Most of our good friends from church have moved away – I guess it’s about time we made new ones, right?
We had a few good friends move away from our last town in the last couple of years. It stinks, but we have to press forward.
I LOOOOOOVE our church. Love, love, love, love, love it.
