What makes you stay up way too late?

17 March 2009 55 views 4 Comments by cool dad

I’m watching 24 on Hulu. Cool Mum is blogging. It’s 11:01 PM and the boy is probably going to wake up at 4:30 AM again like he has the last few days.

We should most certainly be in bed. Does the Internet or other distractions keep you from going to bed when you should?

A good book will ALWAYS keep me up too late! Strangely enough, if TV keeps me up late, it’s usually reruns of my favorite sitcoms. And the internet keeps me up late in the way that it prevents me from doing other necessary things before bedtime (such as changing laundry or cleaning up dinner).

Blogs. blogs, blogs, blogs. They steal my sleep, and I need more self-control. :)

Books. I lie down with a book every night with the intent to “just read a few pages before falling asleep.” Sometimes that actually happens. Most times, it’s a few chapters.

Sometimes I will turn on an old movie on TV and not be able to turn it off.
