Bedtime for the boy has been a struggle since we moved up here. The problem had to have been transition. We lived in 5 different apartments for the first 2.5 months, ranging from 2 nights to 1 month. And CM and CB visited Florida during that span as well.
For the first four months that we were here, CB would go to sleep at random times between 9:30 and 11:00 pm. We felt like awful parents, letting our 1.5-yr-old stay up that late. Fortunately, a friend from church told us that they had a similar issue when they first moved here as well.
All glory to God, he has settled into a schedule. I don’t know how this happened, but for the past 2 weeks, he’s been going to bed between 8:30-9:00.
We don’t have a rock-solid routine. Sometimes it’s CM putting him to bed, sometimes it’s me. Recently, it’s been just me as he calls for Mama when she’s been in the room. Whatever it is, we’ll take it! And as a sweet bonus, he’s always asleep before Lost starts at 9:00 pm.
I guess he’s gotten used to this little place. Maybe we should stop looking to upgrade apartments if it means we can retain this little bit of normalcy.
