A quote for the annals of parenting history

The boy has diarrhea this morning. Cool Mum had to cancel her outing plans because of it. We were just sitting in the kitchen, and CB was playing the drums to Coldplay. Then I heard a bit of flatulence resound from his bottom.

I said to Cool Mum, “Did you hear that?”

“No.”

“He just did another one.”

CM checked, and thankfully it was just a warning shot. When she asked me how I heard it, I issued this profound statement that will surely go down in the annals (anals?) of parenting history:

“My ears are finely tuned to the toot-toots of my son.

You can use that one whenever you want (for a small royalty, of course).
