We’re not in Florida anymore

It’s only October 18, and it is a brisk 54 degrees outside right now. I believe the high is expected around 58. In the FLA, we wouldn’t expect this kind of weather until January or so?

And you know, the funniest thing is happening! The leaves on the trees here… they’re changing colors. It’s like the trees are some kind of chameleon transformer things. Some of the leaves are even falling off of their trees!

This morning, we woke to a loud whooshing sound. We checked to make sure it wasn’t The Great Diaper Blowout of 2008, and praise God it wasn’t. It turned out being this:

Somewhere, someone kicked on the steam that heats the radiator in our apartment. That, or our building has one huuuge tea kettle in the basement. Apparently, we can decide whether we want the radiator to get hot or not by turning a nifty knob. We’ve chosen ‘not’ for now.

As long as these are the only things that happen for the so-called “autumn” and “winter” times of the year, then we’ll be OK. It’ll be weird enough not having our traditional Christmas pool party. (if we’re still here)

Very interesting. When do we get to see the pictures of the leaves? Some of us can’t see them out our window…
