Updates about chocolate, etc.

I am tired from walking across Manhattan (literally) all day. Brody’s Stats Suck Sunday to the rescue!

- I have a part-time internship doing what of course is my life’s passion: blogging! It’s unpaid, but it’s a lot of fun.

- I have a job interview tomorrow for a part-time job. I would get paid, so that’s a lot of fun, too.

- CM and the boy are flying back to Florida for the week as we’ll be between apartments. I’m not quite sure where I’ll sleep the next few nights. I’m curious to see how this pans out.

- I saw Brooke Fraser play on Tuesday night. Gremlins in the sound system seemed to have gotten to her, but she and the band still sounded great. I was just as happy to see the guy next to her as I was Brooke. Michael Chaves is an incredibly talented guitarist who creates delicious, ambient textures. He often backs John Mayer, so it was a treat to see him.

Friday night, we had this with a friend for her birthday.

Yesterday, we had these. They were good and likely very, very bad for us.

And the boy loves Central Park.

As you can tell, we’re enjoying God’s blessings up here. Thanks for all of your prayers!!

I have to admit, I am slightly jealous at your life-on-the-edge-of-homelessness adventures in NYC. Life isn’t exactly on the edge for me at this point, but…it’s still fun. =)

I’m enjoying hearing about your NYC experience! I have a feeling you’re going to want to stay forever.

mmmm…cannoli! We had them for the first time in Little Italy in the Bronx this summer – so good!
For temporary digs we stayed at a great hostel on the upper west side in June. Candy Hostel is at 315 w. 94th (btwn broadway and riverside dr). SAFE, Clean, cheap, friendly. Dorm rooms and private. We vowed to stay there again if we ever get to go back to NYC! There is a great deli around the corner on Bway btwn 94 & 93 and a guy that sells cheap, fresh fruit/veg right on that corner! Enjoy!

    amy – you are corrrrect!

randy – those are cannoli from Rocco’s Pastry Shop in Greenwich Village. Yum.

tam – by the grace of God, he is a happy boy.

rachel – not sure if we want to stay forever, but we are thoroughly enjoying it. if you feel so called, even slightly, step out!! God will not abandon you even if it happens to be not the perfect, “that’s my final answer, Regis” choice. He will still bless you!

matt – it does ever so rock. i could use one every morning.

rowan – thanks for the advice! praise God, hospitality is coming from various directions. He is taking care of my arrangements.

kate – that must’ve been fun to see Brooke on her home (sort of) turf!

kristin – that pretty much sums it up. :)
