Now on this subject, I am somewhat of an expert. The “hood” I grew up in was divided into two “gangs.” One made up by the older kids and one of the younger kids – about 3-5 years difference. The older kids often used such tactics on …the um… other kids, yeah, the others.

A cherry belly, or as we called it – red belly, “is the repeated slapping of the victim’s bare stomach in order to redden it and cause moderate discomfort.”

I also missed the “milkshake” and that’s a shame. The milkshake is the placement of the victim’s head between then legs of the perpetrator, just above the knees, followed by vigorous hopping. This causes the victim’s ears to be RUBBED OFF!

Great find, CM! I love how the pranks and their silly names are explained in such an academic manner.

Mooning: is displaying one's bared buttocks to someone, so-called because the buttocks are generally not suntanned, so resembles a full moon.

Too bad discussion about suntanned buttocks is a little crass even for this blog. That would be funny.
