THING 1
Yesterday, I got Cool Mum’s Mother’s Day present from Ann Taylor. For free. I learned AT emailed out a $15 gift card that was good for only yesterday. The easiest gift buying ever:
1) Print out gift card
2) Go to store, find perfect item on sale for $14.99 (thanks, God!)
3) Hand cashier that piece of printer paper
4) Cashier wraps and hands you gift
5) Leave feeling like you just stole something and happy about it

THING 3
Here’s a fun question we can ask now and again because your answer will likely be different every time.
What’s one thing that you’re stoked about?
In real English: what are you looking forward to right now? It can be anything:
going on a date with someone
your new corduroy pants
seeing an old friend this weekend
the next episode of Gossip Girl
pot roast simmering in the crock pot at home
For me: the Cavs-Celtics game tonight followed by a new episode of LOST! You can tell I’m stoked because of the exclamation point.
So, what’s yours?

Lost and Grey’s Anatomy both on tonight!!!
I’m stoked about all my friends from school coming to visit me at home in the next few weeks!
nice job with the gift…
I’m subscribed to your blog through the google reader, I like it.
What am I stoked about? new Office episode tonight. Sleeping in on mother’s day! woo hoo!
If you don’t mind a little self-pimping, I’m stocked about the launch of my new site at http://www.wethechurch.org on Monday. Praying it turns into something cool.
I’m moving home in just a few weeks!!! That’s enough to make me smile these days… I’ve found myself singing the “Cheers” theme song this week.
I’m subscribed through google reader…it makes my life simpler.
Exams are OVER!!!
And yes….a college student reads your blog. Feel cool.
brandi – LOST was excellent!
lindsey – tell them Cool Mum & Dad said hi!
kristin – we have to catch up on The Office. thank God for Hulu
chad – looking forward to seeing it! and tasteful self-pimping is not minded around here
elizabeth – it feels good when everybody knows your name
anon – we feel VERY cool! if you’re not taking classes, you can spend all summer spreading the word about AWSC. well, you can do that even if you’re in school!
For Mother’s Day, I am getting a weekend all to myself. Husband took the kids to his parents for the weekend. Seems kind of sad and pathetic for a mom to want to be away from her family for Mother’s Day, but let me tell you…it was either that or a professional therapist…
georgia – makes perfect sense to me!! enjoy it!
i’m excited for my new little baby that will be here in december..yay!
georgia~ i’m way jealous, i love my girls but that sounds so nice
I am stoked about reading your blog for the first time, and that maybe this year in the first time in 10 years I might be able to make it back out to my beloved California for some fabulous Disney with my man who has never experienced Cali or In-N-Out for that matter. Woo hoo. -Kristiapplesauce
I am stoked about moving. Tennessee should be an interesting place to live. Not so excited about sending things in boxes though.
I subscribe to your RSS, but Im about to pull the trigger on the RSS thing. I’ve subscribed to, too many. ha ha
sarah – Woo hoo!!!
kristi – In-N-Out is def. worth making the trip! i hope you can make it!
randy – should be quite a move. i hope it goes well for you. when are you moving?
Ok first…how on earth did you think to come up with “the next episode of gossip girl” as one of your examples? lol…second, i am STOKED about moving to Nashville as soon as one of my friends needs a roommate!
i don’t know… i’ve never seen Gossip Girl. promise.
moving to Nashville sounds fun!
Wow, I totally tried to post a reply to this, but for some reason the word verification went batty on me. Sad. So…better late than never!
Current source(s) of my stokage:
-American Idol tonight (one of the roommates sucked me into the madness)
-hitting up Dallas this weekend to visit friends (and make a long-awaited IKEA run!)
-PRINCE CASPIAN!
-our condo complex is opening the pool Saturday…yes!
-two words: Sondre. Lerche. (myspace.com/sondrelerche)
-making plans for a 4th-of-July-weekend road trip to see my best friend in Colorado…with a pretty Cool Guy in tow.
There you have it! I suppose I’m pretty stoked.
nice!!! you’ve got plenty to be stoked about. sounds fun
