OK Rachel, I should have clarified…I promise I’m not a fan of Delilah herself, just a fan of the type of music she plays (which may be just as uncool)–80s and 90s sappy ballads. Cool Dad definitely has the cooler taste in music!

CD-I did not like their new stuff at all intially…but just this last week or two, in fact, I went back to it and I can’t seem to get enough. I thought it sounded like they sold out at first, but now I can hear their style coming through. It’s odd.

“Sometimes I Can’t Make it Alone” has been on repeat in my head. I don’t actually own the album, I just peruse various musicians’ myspace pages during the day while I work.

Now, hang on here – I didn’t include a comprehensive list of concerts I’ve seen – just the more irrelevant ones! I saw Debbie Gibson in my felt-hat wearing days, too, CM! And I have also seen Sister Hazel a couple times. Saw Garth Brooks in the front row. And I’ve seen Third Day, about 14 times (once in Times Square!). Name the Christian band, and I’ve had some type of experience with them – like the Newsboys, in their silver jumpsuit Shine phase. So, not ALL of my concert experiences have been bizarre…

I did leave KC & The Sunshine Band off the honorable mention list though.

Delilah radio show? Seriously? I cannot stand her, sorry. haha She’s real sweet and all…but noooo thank you. I’d rather watch Paula and Simon duke it out on Idol (okay, maybe that’s exaggerating a bit).

I have encountered some pretty rad shows in the recent past, since I guess I’m still in “my youth” and prime concert-going years. Standouts include:

-Mute Math (x3? Maybe 4?)
-David Crowder Band (x…um, a lot)
-Emery (a pleasant surprise)
-Countless indie shows, to name a few: Edison Glass, Chris McLeod, Red Wood Rising and Symon

I am jealous that you’ve seen Mae twice, CD. And I really, really want to see U2 and also Coldplay (if ever that happens) sometime.

i got to be in the bomb shelter at the Chicago U2 Vertigo tour. Very cool. But my 1992 Metallica and Guns-n-Roses concert was VERY cool.
