Amy – yeah, we weighed attending a Killers concert with the boy in utero, but CM decided against it. I’m sure yours turned out fine, right?

Brad – Thanks for the reminder. This stuff is fun to joke about, but we’ve been given an awesome responsibility and we need to take it seriously first and all the fun will follow.

Deemus – as we know, music is very powerful. If you decide that it’s just too much, hopefully you can wean them away into other pursuits.

My little ones, 11 & 13 are now totally into Guitar Hero. They can now sing songs I would not listen to 20 years ago. Its such a fun game, but I too wonder how its affecting them.

I guess I am hoping they are able to separate the game from what we teach them in life.

Raining on your concert…I do proudly remind you that you have been trusted by God with Little Man. Thoughts are our battlefield. (2 Cor 10:3-5, Phil 4:8, 1 Th 5:21) Fight for him until he’s able to fend for himself.

That being said, I doubt seeing you play said rockin’ (yet dark) song influenced him. I pipe up with the kill-joy comment for the sake of future decisions. I also liken it to your post regarding the Golden Compass. What are we willing to sacrifice in order to preserve our own or our family’s purity.
