The boy has a new toy that he absolutely loves. He much prefers his new toy over other ones like
his colorful crab that rattles and squeaks

his Infantino frog that crinkles and has a mirror

his red Baby Einstein block that rattles and has pictures and foreign words on it

Plus, the new toy is lead-free, American-produced, and good for the environment being organically made from abundant natural resources!
With all that going for it, I can see why he just can’t get enough of the insect carcasses in the track of our sliding glass door.

Yeah, we should keep the track clean [-5 cool points], but it’s mostly love bugs. Isn’t that sweet?
He’ll scoot right by all the colorful, never-living toys to get to that track. I’m almost afraid to post this for fear that the loved ones who spent their hard-earned cash on those toys will read it.
Of course, once this behavior developed, we cleaned the carcasses out (at least that’s what we’re telling you).

“At least that’s what we’re telling you”
Very funny! I LOVE dads in love with their families who are not ashamed to announce it! Hats off and oodles of respect from me….for what it’s worth =)
It’s a worth a lot! Thanks for stopping by. We look forward to catching up on your blog!
Oh, that’s funny!
Cool Dad is officially glowing right now.
God put in me the desire to make people laugh. That’s the Holy Spirit glowing
uh huh
You guys are funny!
Today is the first day back to school for our kids and the schools are already closed due to extreme icy road conditions. My youngest did a happy dance in bed when I told him the “bad” news =)
Have a great day!
We collect insect carcasses, too! Perhaps we should combine the collections, bottle and sell them as a new line of baby toys…
my kids used to crawl to the door to feast on the dead insects there. My wife developed a “chore” for the older kids that twice a week it got vacuumed.
I thought it was a tremedous waste of protein…
Tam – so were you glad to have the kids home for another day or was it bittersweet?
Amy – new business ideas always sound good to me!
Deemus – that’s true! i didn’t think about the nutritional value… man.
“Tam – so were you glad to have the kids home for another day or was it bittersweet?”
uuuhhhh….no comment, they’re right here… =o
yes… my son is the same way. He can find anything potentially dangerous, while passing by the baskets of toys lying around.
dead bugs…. if not poisonous, there good protein right?
tam – sorry, didn’t mean to make an awkward moment between you & the kids.
kddub – barring any poison, i bet dead bugs are great. crunchy on the outside with a chewy center!
Alas, we have no sliding glass door. My kiddo loves the dirt from the decorative indoor palm though…
Awesome. What’s more packed with essential minerals than dirt?
