On being a mum

I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but meaningful in a Peace Corps sort of way. But fun? I had no idea how much fun I was about to have.

Before you have kids, you hear the horror stories and can’t erase the images of every screaming baby/toddler you’ve seen in your life. But really, I think raising a boy is more like this.

I feel the same way! But, thanks for getting that song in my head for the next 3 hours. ¬_¬

I am with cool dad – I don’t even have my sound on – but as soon as I saw what the video was – that song came rushing back to me… My buddy and me like to climb up a tree, my buddy and me are the best friends that could be!

TOTALLY still know every word to that song.

  4. Elizabeth says:

Love the song… and I love “your buddy.” What a fun perspective!

  5. cool dad says:

Amy – I was surprised at how it all came rushing back to me, too. And I never had the privilege of owning one.

Elizabeth – I’m looking forward to doing those buddy-buddy things together. Cheesy, I know, but true!

  6. Shannon says:

Make sure you hold your buddy a little more securely…esp. when climbing that tree!

  7. cool dad says:

we usually just use a bungee cord around his ankles. KIDDING!
