I love Tree63. Great guys, great music. One of my favorite songs is ‘I Stand for You’. Soon after it was written, John Ellis, their frontman, played the song for our lead singer before a show we did with them.
I was just listening to it now. I pray that my son will someday be able to say these words to Jesus.
Jesus, I stand for You
No matter what You lead me through
They will chase me out
And close me down
But Jesus I’ll stand for YouI’ll always stand
I’ll always stand
I’ll always stand for You

And I wanted to ask you if you had seen the golden compass or read the books? Most likely you are just another fucking lemming parroting what your pastor says without thinking for himself/herself or allowing your feeble faith to be challenged with anything that might penetrate that tiny imaginary bubble that helps you sleep at night. Have fun sheep, baaaa.
I haven’t read the books or seen the movie. I have stated my opinion on it based on what I’ve read in various articles and my beliefs.
I think it’s good to have my faith challenged. I’d like to avoid the ‘tiny imaginary bubble’ syndrome that’s all too prevalent among us Christians.
My commment on Brian’s blog was a joke, referring to how the Golden Compass is being painted as an atheist plot to indoctrinate children. I guess it wasn’t a good joke.
